This is a "Km0" project: During the first two weeks of this citizen participatory financing campaign, investment in this collective loan will be limited to people who receive an email invitation from SAPIENS ENERGÍA. Foios Energy Community (Valencia):
The Foios energy community has its installation located on the roof of the CEIP Rei in Jaume in the town.
The photovoltaic installation is connected to the grid with lithium batteries. It has an installed power of 108.54 kWp and 32.8 kWh of storage power. This supply allows 80% autonomy of the network.
This energy community can supply energy to 56 homes and businesses.
It generates 157 MWh/year, which would be equivalent to planting 409 trees in the area each year, and avoiding the emission of 25 tons of CO2/year.

We are the alternative green energy cooperative to the traditional energy system.
Sapiens Energia is a comprehensive cooperative that emerged in January 2020 in Canet d'en Berenguer (Valencia) with a single purpose: to offer citizens a sustainable, economic and efficient alternative to the traditional energy model, based on the Renewable Energy Communities (CER). ).
With 8 of its own energy communities currently in operation, Sapiens Energía has already launched more than 70 of these communities throughout the Spanish territory, comprehensively addressing all the aspects necessary to launch them, from advice and support in the creation of the CERs to the promoting town councils and citizen associations; to the installation, start-up and maintenance of the generation facilities.
As experts in the field, they have also participated together with the Generalitat Valenciana in the drafting of the Plan for the Promotion of Local Energy Communities of the Valencian Community.
Our entity has certification as a non-profit entity by the Generalitat Valenciana and is certified as a Company for the Common Good (EBC).
Finally, Sapiens Energía is a beneficiary and is approved by the IDAE as a Community Transformation Office (OTC).
